Zakat Foundation of India was established in 1997 by concerned residents of New Delhi. ZFI collects and utilizes ‘zakat’ or charity for socially beneficial projects in a transparent and organized manner.
Our projects include providing micro credit in Utter Pradesh, running the ‘Happy Home’ orphanage for victims of the 2002 Gujarat riots and the 2004 tsunami in South India. We also run the 'Mercy Home' free clinic in Darya Ganj area of Delhi, the 'Adams Care' subsidized clinic in Okhla area of Delhi and mobile dispensaries. In addition, we also provide stipends to widows and indigent people and fund the education of bright students who are unable to meet such expenses.
You are invited to deposit your amount of zakat, sadaqa, imdaad and other charity preferably through cheque or draft. Cash deposits can be made by visiting our banks (details below).
Alternatively, you may please call one of the office bearers (see ‘Our Team’ on home page) so that an authorised official of ZFI can be deputed to meet you and collect your charity against a printed, numbered, signed and stamped receipt.
The Foundation will wholeheartedly welcome your suggestions for the improvement of its project.
