Assalamu Alaikum & Eid Mubarak!

During this past month of Ramadan we have all collectively undergone a temporary, calculated restraint from basic human instincts to maintain self-control. We redirect human attention to intellectual, spiritual and moral dimensions. And, we offer material assistance to those who are in need.

ZFI's commitment to helping the community has continued throughout this past year. We have conducted workshops across minority-concentrated districts of India on using Right to Information Act so as to monitor government schemes meant to benefit minorities (link). These workshops have empowered thousands of members of the community to actively work towards our betterment.

During this same period, 5 'ZFI Fellows' have cleared the Indian Civil Services - joining the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service etc (link). Eleven more ZFI fellows have now cleared the Preliminary Exams and therefore have qualified for the Final Main exams (link).

Other ZFI projects are going on as usual for the poor and needy – orphanages (link), medical facilities, ambulance, widow assistance, poor girls’ marriage, students’ tuition and hostel fees, empowerment of the downtrodden through helping them join high government positions, self-employment, monitoring the implementation of government schemes for the minorities, etc. Read about our projects by clicking here >
